Correct Care, Inc. is proud to announce our new partnership with Hale County Hospital, a 39-bed general acute care community hospital located in Greensboro, Alabama. Located 40 miles due south of Tuscaloosa, Hale County Hospital offers the comprehensive care of a rural community hospital but its close proximity to tertiary facilities less than an hour away gives the citizens of Greensboro and Hale County the continuum of care it expects. With a new patient wing added in 2002 and current renovations in their Emergency Department, Hale County Hospital continues to update their facilities to meet the needs of their citizens. Their knowledgeable nursing staff stabilizes their patient delivery system, with their RNs having an average length of service of 14 years.
Situated in the west central part of the state in Alabama’s Black Belt, Greensboro and Hale County share a rich history in Alabama’s growth and development. Largely unscathed by the Civil War, Greensboro has a large number of antebellum homes and churches remaining. The entire downtown district of the town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features nearly 150 nineteenth century structures, many which predate the Civil War. Greensboro, which claims the title of Alabama’s Catfish Capital, is also known for the proximity of the Moundville Archaeological Park, which include a number of mounds built by Native Americans more than 1,000 years ago. With its diverse economy, rich history, and geography, Hale County’s population bucks the national trend for rural areas and has enjoyed a steady growth in its population for the past 15 years.
